Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She received an B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a producer and American actor active in the theatre as well as television and film. She began her acting career in theater and later appeared in a number of television series and independent and mainstream films. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she was praised by critics and received various nominations and awards including the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. Her professional acting debut with the character Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. In addition to the Broadway production Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her most well-known work is her role in the series Men of Honor, the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In television, her role in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
