Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to a family in South London. Her father is Nigerian Swiss while her mother was English. She was a student at The Brit School when she was 14. The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art was where she received the BA in acting. She was on stage in numerous productions during her time at school like King Henry V, as Princess Katherine, and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting journey began with Storm Damage. In the years since, she's had appearances as a guest in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. Then, she appeared in Elisha in the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In the same time, she starred as Ollie for six episodes from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi part on the ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on both series 2 and 3. Madekwe also appeared on the comedic How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). Performance credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe first aired in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama program aired in the US on The CW for only two episodes before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama series, was cast for her as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series of Revenge on ABC for two seasons. The show was announced in May 2013 that she would leave the series after making a guest episode in the first season of the third. In the television series Salem the actress played Tituba in 2014 through 2016. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg on June 2012. They both appeared on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also starred as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. She was raised by both parents Roy and Patty together with four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's siblings, who are all sportsmen, played in the summer months and play hockey during winter. Ashley did not walk, but she danced, so at age two and a half she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. Ashley became a dancer from that moment. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, tap and jazz in the high divisions. The top soloist at big competitions, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
