The performer was born on the 26th of November 1987 at Santa Monica California in the United States of America. The singer is the daughter of Vincenzo Barba, her father and Valerie Barba. The family moved into Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was just six years old. Red Bank Catholic High School is where she received her education formal at the time in New Jersey. Then she attended Catholic University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in architecture. Her first violin lessons began at age 4 and became known as the Violin Girl. In recognition of her skills, she was called by the name of Violin Girl. She also taught the violin to the neighborhood children. Later at the age of 19 she was a contestant on the 6th season of American Idol and sang the 1976 hit song Free. However, she was removed from the show following her achievement of the 16th spot.
